Legacy

The legacy we want to leave is that this will not be the only Oceania Seabirds Symposium. Future events should be held in the island nations of Oceania.

We need to tackle the relative invisibility of seabirds and get people inspired and motivated about them.

We need to be increasing capacity amongst Pacific Islanders for monitoring and managing seabird populations at community and national levels. A tangible legacy would be to establish a range of training opportunities.
